Chippewa Square is one of my favorite squares in Savannah. In the center of the square stands a bronze statue of Georgia founder General James Oglethorpe created by sculptor Daniel Chester French. The statue was unveiled in 1910. I should mention this is the square where Forrest Gump, otherwise known as Tom Hanks, sat and talked about his love for chocolate, shrimp, and of course Jenny. Chippewa is also the square where my favorite coffee shop, Gallery Espresso is located. I took this shot after leaving Gallery Espresso. Chippewa felt full of spirits that night.
